Hello, and Welcome to the Website of guitarist Patrick Feely! For many years now, Patrick has been an active recitalist and teacher living in Brantford, Ontario, Canada.

Patrick earned the Applied Music Diploma in jazz guitar from Mohawk College, the Bachelor of Music Degree from McMaster University, The Masters of Music Degree in Performance from the University of Toronto, and the A.R.C.T. in Performance from the Royal Conservatory. Jeffrey McFadden has been his principle guitar teacher.
 

Patrick's recent solo appearances include the Sauble Beach Festival of the Classical Guitar, the Visiting Artists Series at McMaster University, concerto performance with the McMaster University Orchestra, and a Canadian tour with Dr Brad Mahon, as The East West Guitar Duo.  Upcoming performances for the 2011-12 season include Ontario and British Columbia.       

Mr. Feely is a sessional faculty member with the School of the Arts at McMaster University, an examiner with the Royal Conservatory and a clinician for both Frederick Harris Music Publishers and the Royal Conservatory of Music Examinations. Recently Patrick has adjudicated the K. W. Kiwanis Festival, the Toronto Kiwanis Festival and the Barrie Kiwanis Music Festival.  This season Patrick will be adjudicating the North Island Festival of Performing Arts in British Columbia and the Guelph Kiwanis Music Festival.

Mr Feely is an external reviewer for the 2011 edition of the R. C. M. Guitar Series 4th edition, published by Frederick Harris Music, the director of the Brantford Guitar Orchestra, and the Artistic Director of the Guitar Society of Brantford. Patrick is the Chairman of the Education and Outreach committee at the Guitar Society of Toronto, and a member of the board of directors with the Sauble Beach Festival of the Classical Guitar.

Patrick will be giving a Joint workshop presentation between Frederick Harris Music and the Royal Conservatory of Music Examinations at Cosmo Music in Richmond Hill on Friday September 30,2011, from 9:30-12:30. Patrick will be discussing and playing works from the new "Bridges" guitar series as well as discussing the topic of preparing for RCM guitar examinations.

Patrick will be conducting the Braemar House School grade 7-8 guitar orchestras on Sunday November 20 at the Laurier University Brantford campus, 150 Dalhousie st. Brantford on November 20 at 2:00 pm.  The orchestra will warm up the stage for the outstanding young Swedish guitar virtuoso Johannes Moller. Patrick will be conducting the guitar orchestras of Brantford and McMaster University at the Steve and Helen Kun Performance Theatre, 150 Dalhousie St, in Brantford for a guitar orchestra gala sponsored by the Guitar Society of Brantford. For more details go to www.theguitarsocietyofbrantford.com

"The East West Guitar Duo" consisting of Dr Brad Mahon and Patrick, will be performing a fundraising concert for the North Island Festival of Performing Arts in Courtenay British Columbia Wednesday February 22.

Patrick will be adjudicating at the North Island Festival of Performing Arts, Courtenay B.C.. from February 23-25.

Patrick will be adjudicating the Kiwanis Festival of Guelph on April 13/2012 

"The EastWest Guitar Duo" doing a concert tour at Stedman Community Hospice, schools from April  19 -22 with a free public perfomance Sunday April 22 2:00 pm 150 Dalhousie Street Brantford.
