"The Brantford Guitar Orchestra"
currently consists of 27 classical guitarists under the direction of Patrick Feely and ranges in age from age 7 to 70. The ensemble has a diverse membership ranging from beginner students, to those pursuing post secondary musical education. The orchestra performs music written primarily with a quartet texture; bass, tenor, alto, and soprano. The orchestra draws on repertoire from the Renaissance to contemporary Canadian composers, and has a mandate to foster music literacy skills, peer modeling, balancing of parts, tone production, and the ability to follow a conductor.
Today's recital will include Christmas Favorites. repertoire from the Austin Guitar Society Guitar Orchestra Curriculum, and a special appearance by the "McMaster Guitar Quartet." Admission at the door is $10 per family, or $5 per person. Come and join the fun!
