Hello, and Welcome to the Website of guitarist Patrick Feely! For many years now, Patrick has been an active recitalist and teacher living in Brantford, Ontario, Canada. Mr. Feely's diverse musical experience, in both jazz and classical styles, allows him to be at ease, not only with music from the Great American Songbook tradition, such as Duke Ellington and Cole Porter, but, with the vast repository of guitar repertoire issuing from the Western Art Music tradition - from the renaissance to the present.
Patrick has also established himself as an important pedagogue in the guitar community, with many of his students being awarded scholarships, trophies, silver medals, and entrance to College and University music programs. His students are well rounded and secure, both technically and musically.
Patrick performs in solo and ensemble settings, - depending on the occasion - at weddings, cocktail, dinner and dance events, as well as in recital. The "McMaster Guitar Ensemble" will be performing a lunch time recital at the McMaster Museum of Art on Tuesday Nov, 25 at 12:30. Christmas favorites and solos will be performed.
Join Patrick in recital at Convocation Hall, McMaster University, on Tuesday September 23 at 12:30. This free lunchtime recital is being presented by the University's "Visiting Artists Series." Works by Dowland, Britten and Paganini will be performed
The first annual "FRIENDS OF GUITAR" concert series is off to a great start! Our third recital of the season will be held on Sunday November 30 at 2:00 with the "GUITAR ORCHESTRA OF BRANTFORD" The orchestra consists of close to 25 guitarists under the direction of Pat Feely. Patrick has been admitted in the "College of Examiners" with the Royal Conservatory of Music, and will soon be examining in a city near you!
Congratulations to Alida DelSignore (grade 7 guitar), and Skyler Saracuse (grade 2 guitar) who each receive Silver Medals from The Royal Conservatory of Music for receiving the highest mark in Ontario on a guitar examination for this past academic year.
